We created a logo that represents the vitality of Detroit, optimism for today and the future, and strength we have as a community to turn our optimism into actions. The triangles on the right build upon each other. That signifies how collaboration between the private, public and philanthropic communities creates the building blocks needed to transform Detroit.
The three triangles on the left signify our mission to create a clean, safe and inviting Detroit.
They symbolize the three areas of support for that mission … economic development, physical development and public policy. Finally, they denote Detroit as great place to live, work and play. Together, the triangles create a “D."
7.2 SQ MI is the data story of a physically and economically changing place. It is a snapshot that captures current information on residing, working, employing, visiting, living, playing, and investing in Greater Downtown. While a celebration of progress, it also acknowledges continued challenges and reveals potential opportunity. Read the report here.
