The program employs United Way for Southeastern Michigan caseworkers
who travel downtown Detroit streets conducting one-on-one
interventions and offering on-site assistance to homeless
individuals. To do this, two fully equipped cars go into the
community to provide eligible individuals with the tools to overcome
the common barriers to employment and permanent housing.
